Some of us never got the happy ending.
Not because we didn’t try,
but because love sometimes chooses not to stay even in the hearts that deserve it the most.
Some stories never make it to the ending we imagined.
Not every love gets to be called "forever."
Not every feeling finds a reply.
Not every heart that gives gets something back.
We don’t talk much about those kinds of stories.
Because the world often measures love by its success
But what about the quiet ones?
The ones that bloomed in silence lived in glances and died without noise?
We gave our love with honesty.
We waited. We listened. We hoped.
Even when they didn’t see it even when they choose someone else even when we were left with just memories
we didn’t hate them.
We just loved them from a distance.
They never knew how many nights we stayed up wondering what we lacked.
They’ll never hear the poem we wrote but never sent.
They’ll never see the way our hands shook when they walked past.
And that’s okay.
Because we didn’t love for attention.
We didn’t love for the return.
We loved because our heart knew no other way.
Eventhough it ended in silence, our love was loud inside us.
Yes, we failed at love.
We didn’t get the fairytale, the kiss, the love.
But we never failed at loving.
We smiled through pain.
That is not failure.
That is strength most people will never understand.
Some of us are just built differently.
We don’t move on easily.
We don’t replace people like chapters in a book.
We carry them.
Even the ones who never stayed.
Even the ones who never looked back.
Because real loveisn’t about what you get.
It’s about what you give and how true it remains
even when it’s not returned.
They might forget the way we looked at them,
but we still remember their eyes when they smiled.
They moved on,
but we still carry the gentle way they spoke our name.
Call us fools. Call it weakness.
But loving with all your heart even when it hurts
is not failure. It’s bravery.
We failed at love.
But we never failed at loving.
Maybe that’s what makes our story beautiful,
even without a happy ending.
